At the talk in July, someone asked about the potential of certain temporary/DIY/shoestring urban efforts for co-option by more corporate forces.
There’s certainly a… memetic? effect at Central Park Sydney, with an art gallery ‘pop-up and annex’ appearing on the Broadway side of the development next to a ‘mostly organic café’. Both were very busy with people when the bus I was on trundled past it today. Echoes of the temporary art spaces and organic food co-operative on the Kensington Street side.
